BULK POWDERS™ athlete James DeGale is nearing the end of preparation for his IBF World Title defence against Lucian Bute. The fight takes place on November 28th at the Videotron Centre in Quebec City, Canada.
James is doing something very few champions do: travelling to their opponents backyard to defend the title. It’s even more unusual as a first defence! Completely unfazed, James told BULK POWDERS™, “I’m excited to go over to Canada. Of course, it would have been perfect to defend in London, but the fight against Bute was offered and I didn’t hesitate.” Bute is one of Canada’s most popular sportspeople and will enjoy raucous home town support – BULK POWDERS™ asked James if this bothered him, to which he replied, “No. Not at all. In my 9th fight against Paul Smith, I had beer thrown at me on the way to the ring, verbal abuse, all sorts. I could deal with it back then and I can deal with it now.”
James is already in Canada, giving plenty of time to get used to the time difference and to acclimatise. As always, he’s packed his trusty BULK POWDERS™ products including Complete Hydration Drink™, Complete Protein Porridge™ and Informed Whey®. James said, “the last couple of weeks are important when making weight, so I take my products with me. I really look forward to downing the Complete Hydration as I know the preparation is over and it’s almost fight time!”
Tune in to see James defend his IBF Super Middleweight Title live on Sky Sports in the early hours of November 29th (UK time).
