BulkPowders Scottish Oats are the best available – they taste great, are low GI, high in fibre and contain over 10% protein. Additionally, these Ultra Fine Scottish Oats contain other vital nutrients such as calcium, zinc, iron, folic acid and vitamin E. Our Scottish Oats really are 'Ultra Fine'; they have been ground down as finely as possible, making them ideal for combining with whey protein to create your own meal replacements and weight gain formulas.
Ultra Fine Scottish Oats Information
BP Basics Ultra Fine Scottish Oats are a premium source of quality carbohydrates. They have been ground to a very fine powder, making them a perfect and convenient addition to any protein shake. ‘Normal’ oats often lose a lot of their nutrients and goodness when they are ground, however this is not the case with BP Basics Ultra Fine Scottish Oats. Our oats keep 100% of their goodness and are 100% natural with no added salt, sugar or additives. As with all products in the BP Basics range, we use only the highest quality ingredients. The entire BulkPowders team tried numerous samples from numerous suppliers and found that these oats were overall the most nutritious, the highest in fibre, the best tasting, the finest and the best mixing. Once you try them we are sure that they will become a firm part of your daily diet!
Ultra Fine Scottish Oats can also be referred to as: Oat Powder, Fine Oats, Ground Oats, Oatflakes, Porridge Oats.
Why use Ultra Fine Scottish Oats?
We believe that BP Basics Ultra Fine Oats are the ‘ultimate’ food. Here is why:
Provision of Sustained Energy
Being extremely high in quality complex carbohydrates and soluble fibre, Ultra Fine Scottish Oats are a great source of sustained energy. Having oats for breakfast should keep you energized and help to prevent hunger until lunch.
Increasing Muscle Mass
Diet and training are the two main contributing factors to gaining muscle. As far as diet is concerned we all know that a quality protein is essential, however the importance of carbohydrates should not be underestimated. Combine some BP Basics Ultra Fine Scottish Oats with some BP Basics Whey Protein Concentrate 80% and you have an almost perfect ‘liquid meal’, packed with protein, carbohydrates, fibre, vitamins and minerals. This is sure to get your body ‘anabolic’ and is unbeatable for cost-effectiveness!
Nutrient Rich
BP Basics Ultra Fine Scottish Oats are packed with a variety of vitamins and minerals important for growth and health. These vital nutrients include calcium, zinc, iron, manganese, thiamine, vitamin B1, vitamin E and folic acid. They also contain one of the highest levels of soluble fibre in any food. Fibre helps ensure healthy digestion and has also been shown to maintain a healthy heart when used as part of a low fat diet. Furthermore they contain a very respectable 13% protein.
Lowering Cholesterol
Cholesterol is a fatty substance produced in the body. We also consume it daily in various foods such as dairy products, meat and seafood. When we have too much cholesterol it can begin to clog our arteries, reducing blood flow and increasing the risk of heart disease. Ultra Fine Scottish Oats have been shown to act like a sponge, soaking up cholesterol and taking it away from our bloodstream.
Directions
This will depend on your dietary needs. Per serving, we would recommend using anywhere between 30g-100g of BP Basics Ultra Fine Scottish Oats. A regular serving size would be between 30g-50g, however those trying to gain weight may want to use more than this.
A BulkPowders.co.uk 75ml measure (level scoop) provides 48g of BP Basics Ultra Fine Scottish Oat Powder, this provides: 173 Kcal, 5.28g Protein, 3.8g Fat and 4g of Dietary Fibre.

Oatalicious
Mixes great with a protein shake, tastes great, was tempted to go with the more expensive MYPROTEIN flavoured oats but glad I didn't as Bulkpowders oats taste great and a lot cheaper!

Really convenient
I like this. Either on the move shopping or at work...or breakfast. I mix 75g of oats with 38g whey and 24g smooth peanut butter. I stir it into a paste, then add oatmilk. Mmmm

Simple, effective and great value for money.
Normally I would blend up normal oats out of a cereal box but there was always a sediment build up at the bottom. These oats however are a lot finer and blend up better so you get a lot less of that. So providing you get it down you quickly and don't alow it to sink to the bottom its perfect. I mix it with BP whey for a quick meal.

Can taste awesome with a few modifications!
With my workout schedule, I was aiming to have about 5 scoops of the oats everyday - which seemed quite difficult considering it doesnt dissolve too well in water, and I personally didn't find the taste very appealing.. not that it tastes bad, but its kind of tasteless on its own. But here's my homemade recipe for an oats-protein shake which tastes delicious now:
\
\
Get a shaker bottle, about 5 scoops of oats (the 75ml measure), 1-2 scoops of whey protein isolate/concentrate whatever, 200 ml of milk, maybe a little more if you prefer less thick shakes, a little sugar just to make it taste like a proper shake and 4 drops of flavor (i personally use the strawberry ones available at this site). It works awesome !!! Tastes as good as any other shake available in the market, oats dissolves very easily in the milk using a shaker, no big lumps at all but of course the fibres would still remain, and it even masks the taste of the protein, which isn't too good either, by itself! Awesome!!

well worth the money
Just got this and made a shake with 75g of these oats and 30g whey protein, it mixes extremely well with no lumps and I only had to use a fraction of the milk I would normally use with other such products. In addition its very light on your stomach and you can hardly feel it going down.
\
\
30G whey protein + 75G oats makes for the perfect early morning snack meal filler throughout the day.
\
\
Adding to that, it costs no more than quality supermarket brands.

My only complaint is I didn't order more!
No more sitting and trying to eat dry boring pasta or rice pre-workout. Poor 150 grams of scottish oats in a shake along with protein, problem solved. Makes eating so much easier.
\
\
This is a new cornerstone of my diet - SO convenient, quality product, good taste (tip: throw in cinnamon with your shake, will control blood sugar and tastes really well!).
