taste of pea protein Review by clim
Just had my first taste of pea protein isolate and guess what................yes it tastes of peas!!!
If you like peas then this is the product for you. However if you hate peas than spend your money elsewhere.
I love it and can "feel" the goodness of this product.
My one and only concern is the salt content within the ingredients is high at over 3 grams for 3 servings which heavily built hard training bodybuilders would require and therefore should take note.
Safe Daily salt allowances are set at 6 grams and it would be easy to go over and above that without careful monitoring when consuming whole foods.
Overall a good product (Posted on 07/11/2016)
Use in soups! Review by TransitioningVegan
This is great as a savoury protein powder, I have cooked vegetable or tomato soups and added it in at the end and it's great. I've also made it cold with lemon squeezed and a bit of black pepper with fresh basil, tomato and spring onion and it went well with ryvita crackers. I haven't tried it with anything sweet like fruits hut it's definitely worth a try if you want to add protein to a vegetarian dish. (Posted on 09/10/2016)
excellent price and great product. Review by Veganboy
Due to allergies, i have quit dairy products and brought this as i already know bulk powders is quality and the price is amazing. Firstly this stuff tastes horrible, the first time i tried it i mixed it the same as whey and it stopped mixing in the shaker as it was a lump of goo.

Since then i mixed it with almond milk, water, a banana in a blender and it tastes great. Even tastes okay with almond milk with water, but on it's own arghhhhg.

So well pleased with this product and got a discount so the price is unbeatable and switched all my buying to bulk powders now. (Posted on 15/09/2016)
Does what is has to do Review by Mark H
I have a big problem with proteins, I cannot digest proteins of cow milk (also whey), eggs and hemp. Finally I found this one. It really works remedy my muscles. So I'm really glad I found it. There is one con. The taste is not as good as other ones I tasted. But I'm very happy it's a pure product without any sweeteners :)

    Thanks! (Posted on 08/08/2016)
    Good mixture Review by wheelbearing
Really easy to mix and the taste is alot better than other pea protein products. I used a hand blender to mix and it is quite a nice smooth mixture and went down very easily. (Posted on 29/07/2016)
Good vegan option Review by Polly
Like this product. If you use too much it starts to taste weird and powdery, but I add half a scoop to my smoothies and you can't even taste it. Will buy again :) (Posted on 22/07/2016)
Amazing but contains unwanted salt Review by Shade
This pea protein is very good, it is very high quality, has a high protein percentage (80%), contains no unwanted sweeteners and mixes well. On top of that, it is the cheapest pea protein I have seen anywhere.

But it has in my opinion an important drawback - it contains a lot of salt. The salt makes it taste worse and its taste can be felt even when mixed with other ingredients to prepare a shake. But more important, it is not healthy to eat excessive amounts of salt, especially from foods where it is not needed. We (or at least me) already eat enough salt from other foods/meals. And if anyone wants salt in it they can add their own. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars.

I hope you make this product salt free.
I have to say I am also very satisfied with your other products, for example Roasted Peanut Butter, and am looking forward to ordering from you again. (Posted on 17/07/2016)
EXCELLENT FOR RECOVERY Review by ENDURE1
I'm lactose/egg/gluten intolerant and I've been looking for a protein recovery powder for a while now. Before I started using the pea protein my recovery was poor (I'm training for endurance events - ie triathlons) as I wasn't getting proper fuelling post work out. But since finding this - it's been 4 weeks - my recovery has been exceptional. I use this immediately after a hard training session (so run intervals/long runs, endurance swims and/or +2 hour bike rides) and it has helped massively. I'm able to do add quality sessions into my training and am even able to add two sessions in a day and feel okay to do another (albeit easy) double the following day.

My body is usually very sensitive to anything that I put in it but this has been life changing (no jokes) as it's helped me to recover well. As for the taste, I must admit, it tastes vile. In fact, it leaves a very bitter after taste and even my face scrunches up when I drink it (I drink it plain). But I suppose that's a good thing because you'll drink it fast and you'll just get on with the other things that you have to do.

All in all, this product is fantastic. Although the taste is pretty gross the quality more than makes up for it. (Posted on 17/03/2016)
Great taste! A vegan/dairy free essential! Review by David
I just had my first Super Pea Protein shakes first with then without some oats. I can't understand all the fuss about the flavour, I was expecting to be forcing it down or spending weeks getting used to it judging by some reviews on here. I had none of that, it's nice right from the first gulp.

It hardly has a taste and what taste it has is just like mushy peas. Who doesn't like mushy peas?

Before I was vegan I used the Bulk Powder Whey Protein's, this mixes even easier than those. A couple shakes and it's done.

I ordered a 5kg bag. I thought about ordering the smallest size to test it but I figure whatever the taste I was going for it. I'm hitting the gym multiple times a week pushing myself until I have nothing left and I can't handle a little drink that might not taste like chocolate? Get real!

Luckily the taste is good, gym time! (Posted on 03/03/2016)
Great vegan option for green smoothies. Review by Young Doyle
I got this to try out as a dairy substitute as I was lactose intolerant as a child although have grown out of it as I've gotten older. I would not recommend the taste if mixed just with water but it works really well in a green smoothie. My favorite was 1 scoop pea protein, 1/2 apple, 1/2 pear, handful of kale and wate/ice. Really good breakfast alternative and with 25g of protein per serving it really packs a punch! (Posted on 25/02/2016)
It took a week or two but now I can stomach the taste. It tastes like pulped cardboard. Review by Jim
Decided to take a break from Whey. Am not allergic to dairy but for some reason whey was making me bloated in the face and stomach and prone to gas and digestive rumblings. As soon as I stopped taking whey with milk the bloat disappeared after a few weeks.

For this reason I decided to try Pea protein. I work out moderately, mostly body weight routines
(You Are Your Own Gym program by Mark Lauren and running). Seem to be getting the weight up again but without as much fat, gas and bloat. Found it hard going at the start as the bland taste just overpowers almost everything and I mean everything. it's quite bitter too, especially if you add creatine. Eventually after some experimentation, occasional gagging and dry retching, I finally stumbled on the secret recipe as others have mentioned here (thank you). I'd definitely recommend people to at least get a sample and try it.

    Pea Protein
    half a Banana per serving.
Almond Milk (unsweetened is better if your adding a banana, otherwise it's too sweet.)

I whisk it up in a Nutribullet. It is the only mix I have found so far that actually makes the taste
go away...completely! It now tastes very like a banana whey shake and I no longer feel like I am chewing pulped cardboard marinated in gorilla sweat. The best thing about this for me though is the lack of whey side effects with seemingly similar results, have no idea whether this would work for a serious weightlifter though. There may well be other brands of pea protein that taste better but this is the first I have tried and with the above mix it's great. Delighted I found this stuff. (Posted on 11/02/2016)

    Great product Review by Paul
Great amino profile, low price. It shouldn't be had with water but is great in smoothies and soups. Smoothie to try would be banana, peanut butter, agave syrup, soy milk, cocoa. Delicious. (Posted on 26/11/2015)
    Perfect! Review by Effie
I bought the 1kg unflavoured Pea Protein for smoothies. It's great to have a vegan option and it's so cheap! I browsed other sites but this one was cheapest and actually sounded the best.

It has no flavour. My smoothie (banana, kale, pineapple, peanut butter and rice milk) tasted slightly less sweet with this blended in, but after the first mouthful, I could barely notice it. It works perfectly.

Shipping was very fast, the products are very good quality and the customer service was excellent. (Posted on 12/11/2015)
    The taste..! Review by Olly
So, I've tried hemp, whey and rice protein powders. And now I have tried pea, and I have to say it is the least palatable of the bunch. It over powers everything, which is a shame, because it mixes well and has a good amino acid profile. I do prefer rice, and I think whey can't really be beaten for its immune boosting benefits. However, if you are vegan, then it is worth not writing pea off, especially at the price Bulk Powders offers it for.

Mixing it with rice would also give a more balanced amino acid profile, and it tends to go down ok mixed into soups, but drinking it alone makes me gag and it over powers smoothies. But that's not saying everyone will hate the taste.

Overall, if you are going to try pea I do recommend using this company - they won't be beaten on price, service or speed of delivery. (Posted on 10/11/2015)
    Character building Review by rs
Not sure how others have found it to taste "neutral" or "not bad", to me it tastes like mud, grass, and a handful of peas blended together, i.e. revolting - and I've always considered myself to be able to stomach anything. The only thing I remember tasting worse than this is raw garlic.

Perhaps it just doesn't agree with me, and I can't be bothered experimenting with various additions. Advice for anyone who like me has to now stomach several kg of the stuff - hold your nose and throw it back in one. If you stop to let your brain process the taste you won't be able to muster the will to continue.

Tastes downright foul, but the price might just compensate. (Posted on 06/11/2015)
Really not that bad Review by Sken84
I was worried about trying this reading some of the reviews. I can't take whey protein as it upsets my stomach so I've been on the search for a reasonably priced alternative.
The first surprise was this is not green! Others I've tried have been. The taste is savoury but not unpalatable. Tried it with water and raspberry flavour drops first and it was fine although I'll probably give it a go with almond or soy milk next time. It was surprisingly smooth although it will never mix in the same way as whey will.
I can't comment on results yet as its too early but if you can stomach another brands unflavoured vegan blend then give this a go as the taste is very similar but it mixes so much better. (Posted on 21/10/2015)
Great product tastes awful though Review by Kestulis
Perfect option for someone who can't take whey protein. Gives no bloating, no fatigue, has great protein content. Worst part about it is taste.. Taste is just terrible. Took time to figure how to take it so i can drink it. Just add something sweet like choc powder, banana etc. Goes well with soya milk i find it nicer than water. Would recomment to buy small bag for firs time buyers and then decide if they want to continue drinking it. Overall happy with the value of product. (Posted on 09/10/2015)
    Tastes great Review by Phil.
Have Been a vegetarian for 30 years but now gone vegan so changed from whey protein to pea protein. Got a small bag to start with just in case but I found the taste was really good from the start, now on my 6th 2.5 kilo bag. Don't know what the fuss is all about it tastes great you can alter the constituency by adding more or less water depending how you like it. I do iron man triathlons and long distance running so I use this to add protein to my vegan way of life(not diet). To be honest I've not notice any difference in training going from whey to pea protein but I would highly recommend this to anyone going vegan.. (Posted on 28/09/2015)
Great product, cheap and good quality. Review by Paul
Use this every day in smoothies, perfect for what I want, and very good price for 5kg. (Posted on 15/07/2015)
Excellent product, quick delivery and great price. Review by Olly
The product arrived the next day after ordering and so far I am extremely happy with the high quality! The pea protein has a very unique taste however is easy to get used to, will definitely buy again. (Posted on 01/06/2015)
Great product! This protein powder mixes well and has an okay taste Review by Millie
Genuinely surpised that this tastes okay and the powder mixes really easily :-) I was expecting to have to get used to it at least - but no - first protein shake I made was really tasty: 25g Pea Protein, 300ml goats milk, x1 ripe banana and 1 dessertspoon of cashew nut butter (Im doing this for health reasons) - lush! I initially ordered the smallest size at first, just in case- but today I am reordering the 2.5kg bag (Posted on 23/04/2015)
    Cranberry juice Review by Ed
I bought this product about a week ago. The best thing to mask the God awful taste is cranberry juice. 200-250 ml per 35g protein. I would stir rather than shake. It is too heavy otherwise. A few swigs and it is gone. (Posted on 30/03/2015)
Excellent for my needs Review by Tony brewster
I've setup a repeat order for this 5kg bag on Amazon. The only dislike I have is the bag is so damn hard to reseal as noted by others! I use this because I'm dieting to lose weight and I put a scoop in the blender. The pea taste is very overwhelming despite what you mix with it. I usually go for 200ml of water, 2 bananas, 1 small handful of spinach, and to disguise the pea taste I'll use one of the following 1. A lime. 2 a lemon. 3 a Braeburn apple. Adding any one of them to my smoothie completely eliminates the pea taste. Mostly for cost reasons I stick to the apple. So for 2 bananas, a handful of spinach, 200ml water and a scoop of this powder roughly sticks to just under 500 calories for a meal. I find the protein really helps stop you feeling hungry for a long time! So for me this product is perfect for trying to diet and eat healthy (not sure smoothies count as eating). Extremely happy with and will continue to buy. (Posted on 20/03/2015)
GREAT FOR MASKING CLA, HMB, GLUTAMINE OR OTHER FOUL TASTING SUPPLEMENTS. Review by Atilla
This stuff is great when mixing with other stuff. I find that on its own, it is too thick but mixed with other stuff its awesome!

I find the WHEY ISOLATE flavours, chocolate etc to sweet so I use the pea whey to neutralise the taste.

I also add a mixture of 5g HMB and CLA, or GLUTAMINE and EAA raw powders and the it drowns out the awful taste. (Posted on 02/03/2015)
Savoury mixers for pea protein Review by christian
If you try to fight the pea flavour with fruit or milk, you will lose. As other reviewers have said, savoury is the way to go. But what is portable enough for the gym, and cheap and easy? I say tinned Tesco economy pea and ham soup, Tesco chicken and vegetable curry (49p and quite good) and La Doria ratatouille. All these have strong savoury flavours that the pea protein actually complements. It thickens any liquid, so you will be spooning these, not drinking them, but they will go in a shake mug and you won't look like one of those changing-room diners who break out the tupperwear and quinoa.

I never liked whey. I suspect it for giving me fatigue symptoms. This pea stuff is grand.

Great when you getting it to taste nice! Review by thespringbuck
Gave this as a go as normally get whey protein. Tried a variety of mixtures as I'd typically do with whey which blends in nicely with all sorts... this however tastes like peas! BUT, I've found what works for me, 100ml semi-skim milk, more water (the stuff is thick!), banana, blueberries or strawberries, honey, few sweeteners, and it tastes great! I have a sweet tooth so need to drown out the pea taste with sweetness.

It's quite heavy per scoop compared to whey and it's little like static filings the way it spikes out around the scoop, strange, but you'll see what I mean if you buy it.

    Protein cup'a'soup. Review by Jon
Unsurprisingly the flavour does not react well with attempts to sweeten, a savoury solution works a for a natural palatable and easily consumed flavour, try mixing some stock, Bouillion, Bovril or even Marmite, alright maybe not Marmite, with hot water and the pea protein, for a sort of protein rich meaty, including with vegan Bouillion, tasting cup'a'soup. Takes no longer to make than a brew. (Posted on 08/01/2015)
This is pea protein. It tastes like peas. Review by Dan
This is pea protein. It tastes like peas.

It's not quite as strong as the flavour of dehydrated peas but it's close. I also found it to be slightly salty.

i have found that the mouth taste can be disguised by adding a tablespoon of sweetener but I haven't found a way to disguise the nose. I just add the sweetener close off my nose and chug it down.

There is a fair amount of sodium in each serving so that might be something to consider if you are trying to avoid salt.

I bought this because it was so cheap. It remains to be seen whether I'll buy it again when this pouch runs out. I don't really like the taste and it's a bit of a chore to drink. The jury is still out on whether it's worth roughing it for the sake what is essentially half price protein when compared to whey.

Good product at a good price!! Review by tadhg
Have been using this for a few months now. Very thick, not ideal for a shaker. I make smoothies with it and add some honey to sweeten.
A good source of protein and none of the sweet sugary taste of other protein powders.
Great dairy free protein, definitely recommended!!

Doesn't taste so bad Review by Daniel
Having read the other reviews I was expecting this to taste aweful, but actually it hasn't got a very strong taste, it's just got a slightly nutty taste, so I make it in a shaker with 3 ice cubes and a dollop of peanut butter, ordered my smoothie maker this week so will be having it with fruit etc when that arrives, very good and cheap :) (Posted on 18/10/2014)
Takes some getting used to. Review by Rhys
First attempt at this was rank, the taste, texture, aftertaste.

After a week of getting used to it and getting the water ratio right this is the best protein I have used so far no bloat and noticable gains. (Posted on 13/08/2014)
Nice in soup, yuck on its own Review by Dudey
I needed something lactose free post workout, so I tried this with water and mixed it in a blender and it tasted awful, it made we wretch. So I decided to try it with tinned pea soup (heated on the hob), it mixed up quite thick so I added a little water and it was perfect and no funny taste. It has its place in my diet in soups and vegetable casseroles and is a worthy buy. You just need to be a little bit creative. (Posted on 04/05/2014)
IT TASTES LIKE PEAS Review by Daniel
That's right it's pea protein so naturally it tastes like peas. It's almost like drinking a cold pea smoothie. If you like the taste of peas you will love it, if not buy another type of vegan protein.

P.S. I'm not vegetarian, but am considering buying 5kg next time as it's actually cheaper than whey..... (Posted on 21/04/2014)

    Amazing product:) Review by Coco
Amazing clean efficient vegan protein powder.

    Really good price.

Taste is totally neutral.not bad at all, just neutral, not everything has to taste like artificial candy.

This protein powder is actually healthy for your body and totally natural, non dairy, no artificial sweeteners.

Thank you for selling this great protein powder :) (Posted on 28/02/2014)
    Earthy stuff! Review by Pete
I bought this protein as an alternative night-time protein to casein because I started taking ZMA caps (from BP) and it recommends no dairy. I have only taken it wilth water (as I take all supplements) and it has an earthiness to it that is akin to sprouted beans. Unlike other proteins it takes a little more effort to enjoy, but it is a good slow-release and doesn't bloat.

With its earthy flavour, I wonder if it might work well being added to a pea and mint soup or something like that to increase the protein of a lunch... just a thought.

Finally, I highly recommend a mixing ball with this purchase. (Posted on 23/11/2013)
    Bad taste Review by Adam
I have had a fair few different protein shakes but never had a taste like this before makes me feel sick. I have tried it with milk and even floured milk it has taken the kick out of it a bit but not by much. Its good for protein but not on taste at all wont order it again but the website is still great and more than happy to order from it again. (Posted on 14/11/2013)
Very Strong Pea Taste! Review by Mitch
I really shouldn't have been surprised by this, but this powder tasted very strongly of peas. Whilst I don't mind eating peas, peas in liquid form seemed to trigger repulsion in me for some reason. Once I'd thrown in some drinking cocoa to mask the taste, it was perfectly drinkable.

In terms of mixability, I had no problems there.

Conclusion: Be prepared for a proper pea hit when drinking unflavoured which some may be able to cope with but I couldn't. Praise be for flavourings! 4 Stars for not irritating my digestive system and the taste being maskable. (Posted on 11/11/2013)
QUALITY AND VALUE FOR MONEY Review by Tiago
If you want a good vegan source of protein at an excellent price, this Super Pea Isolate packs it all:

    - excellent value for money (half the price of regular concentrated whey)
    - higher protein content (leading brand has 74%; SPI rocks at 85%)
    - no bloating or farting

Still there's no beating around the bush or sugar coating: mixed with water the SPI tastes like dirt, pure and simple. Adding you favorite non-dairy drink instead might help but you can go around it by simply adding a few spoons of cinnamon - it's cheap, packs 0 kcal and has enough "zing" to cut that earthy taste into tolerance.

Also, do get a shaker with a wire ball, because it's not as soluble as regular whey.

Great neutral taste and honest price. Review by Goku
I love the fact that I can buy this unflavoured at an honest price!

I take 30gr first thing in the morning, 60gr after a workout and then 30gr before bed.

If you have a fast metabolism like me, pea protein is the way to go, since it's a slower digesting protein then whey (which only stays in your body for 2 hours).

    So great for skinny hardgainers!

    Oh, and 85% protein, awesome!

(I wish beef or chicken had this much, I would definitely save me money and I wouldn't have to force myself to eat as much!)

    Great!!! Review by Fabio
At first it's a trial error thing, trying to get the right amount of water and or milk to make it drinkable but with a banana or other fruits you don't even notice the harsh taste that much and for the price the nutritional value is awesome. (Posted on 20/07/2013)
Quality and Value for money Review by Malcolm
Having tried a few alternatives, I just got my first protein order from BP ... which was Super Pea Protein Isolate (unflavoured).

I read a few reviews here before ordering, and was a little apprehensive because it seemed like a number of reviewers were very unhappy about the taste in particular. I wanted a protein product that was good value for money, and I wasn't really too bothered about the taste as I often add fruit or other content that gives flavour..... and I see that BP have flavourings that can be added anyway.

Was I right to be apprehensive? Absolutely not!

This is a great product at a great price. Sure there is a slight flavour issue if you mix with water and nothing else ... but even that is only slight, and probably something you could acclimatize to quickly. Mixed with milk and fruit or other flavouring this makes a great shake that is easily digested and very satisfying.

Great work BP - looking forward to trying the rest of your products - I'm converted! (Posted on 05/07/2013)

    taste Review by earl grey
First, the product delivers its purpose well.

Second, the taste can be easily dulled by adding fruits or cocoa powder to your milk/soy shake.

    Very satisfied. (Posted on 25/04/2013)
Tastes so bad Review by David
People say how bad unflavoured whey protein tastes but I think that it tastes OK. This stuff honestly made me gag. The only way I can keep it down is by adding a flavouring system. Not ideal as it's pure sugar but better that than waste a huge bag of protein. Only buy if you have no taste buds! (Posted on 18/03/2013)
Better than egg? Review by Matt
A little scared to try this but i'm using egg white powder from here right now, which really is unpleasant (I just mix it with water and knock back the froth and shake). Thanks. (Posted on 06/03/2013)
Tastes great with weetabix! Review by António
I usually drink it with water only. It doesn't solve very well and the taste is only tolerable (it grows on you, as they do). I like it mixed with soy milk — grainy taste. Mixed with weetabix and water, though... It's awesome! (Posted on 27/02/2013)
    Pea-rrffect Review by Rachel
I have been buying this for the last 18 months and of all the vegan proteins this is the easiest to mix and the tastiest.

I have it in smoothies with avocado, almonds, vanilla powder and stevia for a sweet dairy free smoothie and with yoghurt, stevia and mixed spice for a sweet pudding.

Great value and versatile, you just have to be a bit creative!

stop rattling on about the taste! Review by Dan
Its made from peas, so surprise it tastes like peas! so mix it with cold water otherwise you will basically be downing a pea milkshake. Otherwise it mixes well, represents excellent value and 30g of protein in a scoop using the suggested scoop for only 140cal! will be buying again! (Posted on 08/01/2013)
Great as a soup Review by Vanessa
I actually really like this product - I mix it as a hot soup with a teaspoon of vegan boullion powder (veggie stock).

The taste is nice as a savoury soup or similar. However, I'm not so keen on it in a smoothie or cold shaker drink.

A note on mixing: add a small amount of cold water first and mix as a paste, then add hot water. It becomes lumpy if you add the hot water directly to the powder. (Posted on 05/10/2012)
Make sure you can tolerate the sugars in this. Review by John
I bought this as it is now substantially cheaper than whey protein (which is frankly ridiculous now) and has a good amino acid profile (it is infact complete).

Taste is not too bad, deff tolerable but I noticed I was getting intense stomach pains and pretty bad bloating. Turns out that legumes contain certain sugars called raffinases which cannont be broken down by the human body. In small amounts and in most people this has no effect, but if you happen to be sensitive to it (like me) the effects are exactly like lactose intolerance. Ive had two weeks off from the gym because of this.

If you're thinking of changing this could be an excellent product but I advise you buy a small sample first to see if you can tolerate it. (Posted on 02/10/2012)
tastes so bad!!! Review by lee biagi
This protein tastes so bad i have found it unbearable even when adding flavouring so am going back to the whey protein which i can happily take without flavouring. Even with the flavourings bought from here i feel like being sick after every shake. Even the smell of the powder in my kitchen turns my stomach now. All good if you can take it but for me its unbearable. (Posted on 29/09/2012)

(Posted on 21/07/2012)
Tarts care about taste Review by Tom Evans

Great non-dairy product. Review by Ro
As far as non-dairy protein powder goes, the taste is not so bad-like a watery vegetable soup. It is much more palatable than hemp for example: which has a grainy texture and overpowering grassy/woody taste. Nutritionally this stuff is excellent: low carb, low fat and containing all the essential amino acids. No stomach complaints of any kind and quite versatile for savory cooking too. Highly recommended! (Posted on 18/05/2012)
amazing for cooking Review by michael
i first used it in shakes... it tastes not so great with oats and multifruit juice and I PREFER to use it as follows: i take a falafel recipe, then replace peas with pea protein and use as much egg white as i need to keep it runny. throw everything in a blender - Fry - Enjoy. kind of a falafel omelet ! =)
btw it thickens even more than 100% micellar casein.
if you plan to use it in shakes: the protein tends to thicken with a layer that seals the below lying protein from contact with the liquid and therefore may leave a clump. so you may have to shake VERY hard to mix everything. (Posted on 14/05/2012)
Good If You Can Get Over The Taste Review by Dan
Tastes like runny peas pudding. Mixes ok and brilliant amino profile so will try and persevere. Am sure will get used to it in due course ... (Posted on 25/04/2012)
So cheap!!! Review by Kyle Smith
I have been using whey for ages now in various mixes etc, eventually you end up spending stupid amounts of money on it (apprenticeship wages). Anyway, price-wise, brilliant, taste-wise, I dunno, its VERY savory, but after a week I have grown accustomed to it. The best thing I find about this product is that there is no bloat or unwell feelings after taking it! It just seems so much more 'natural' and far easier on the innards!

I will definitely buy more when I run out! (Posted on 21/04/2012)
A great suprise! Review by Lou
It mixes very easily in water, far better than whey. It has a very mild flavour, so nothing to be concerned about. I actually got used to the flavour very quickly, and even enjoy it now! And it's great for making soup! I'm starting to prefer this over whey protein, taking all aspects into account. (Posted on 17/04/2012)

Ecellent product, I am allergic to all whey for some reason so i thought I'd give this go and its great, mixes well with anything! no complaints.. people complaining its tasteless i honestly dont know what there on about.. if its that bad mix it with something flavoured? have it in a smoothie, probably too lazy to try that though!! To be honest, it tastes nice, slightly on the pea side but nothing to complain about. Great price for a great product. I particularly do not like to eat too much animal protein (google: chinese study)so this is an amazing alternative veg protein and great value for money. I tried it Mixed with banana and milk and it was delicious. I am a fan of this company already! (Posted on 11/04/2012)
No more Whey for me! Review by Anonymous
I'm surprised many people find the taste horrible. I have no problems whatsoever with it. You could even eat the powder without any liquid imo. Just mix it with milk and some chocolatemilk and it's delicious! Add some WMS or oats and it's a decent wake-up meal or light meal for in between larger meals. The price is also significantly lower than whey protein. For me it's the new ultimate protein! (Posted on 11/04/2012)
Great product. Review by Stephen joseph
After a decade of using whey, became a Vegan and switched to this Mix a stock cube or water from your veges if you're trying to cut out salt and it tastes great as soup. Or you can add a little warm (not hot!) water make into a paste add olive oil (salt/pepper if desired) and eat with a sweet potato.

    Review by Andre C. Silva
So, it's cheap and nutritionally good. It also mixes very well and its texture is pleasant. What's the downside? Its taste. While not rank (much better than CEE), I can't down it without adding flavor. I usually do as follows: 10g of branded/chocolate flavored (strongly flavored at that) wpc + 10g of bulk wpc + 10g super-pea protein iso. I tired it like this and with more bulk wpc and less pea protein and still thought it tasted a bit nasty, so I ended up having to add 2~3 drops of BP's own LiquiFlav Chocolate (which btw rocks!).
    \
So, it's cheap, it's good, tastes a bit nasty. Still 5 stars all-round because I wasn't conned and knew what I was buying, though I'd give it 3 stars taste-wise. (Posted on 11/04/2012)

I ordered those proteins just to try them, in search of a possible source of veg. protein beside soj. At first I did not know how to use them (there's a delicate but pervasive taste of peas, of course, that doesn't mix well with other tastes).
    \
Then I simply mixed them with some water, adding very little salt and olive oil, and voila, an excellent cream, tasting halfway btw. peas and peanuts: even my wife enjoyed it! the only risk is to overeat them! Otherwise the only cooking options that come to my mind are adding them to a soup, in particular a pea soup.

Good taste, total solubility, very good amino balance. I strongly recommend this product (espec. in the evening) to balance the excess animal proteins that the typical bb. usually takes in. (Posted on 11/04/2012)
