What is Spirulina?

BULK POWDERS™ Organic Spirulina Powder is a nutrient dense, dark green powder, containing all of the essential amino acids alongside many vitamins and minerals, including B Vitamins and antioxidants.

BULK POWDERS™ Spirulina is totally organic and contains a massive 63% protein, far in excess of most Spirulina products available.

Spirulina is an algae that grows in natural alkaline lakes, in a tropical an sub-tropical environment.

Spirulina was consumed as a food source hundreds of years ago. In more recent times, Spirulina was ‘re-discovered’ in the 1960s.

BULK POWDERS™ Organic Spirulina is a fantastic source of protein, and is of particular benefit to Vegetarians and Vegans, due to its high protein content and amino acid profile – containing every single essential amino acid!

Organic Spirulina is also micronutrient dense – containing high levels of B-Vitamins, anti-oxidants and Iron. In addition it is an abundant source of chlorophyll, which is known for helping to remove heavy metals from the body.

Where is Spirulina Powder (Organic) found?

Spirulina can be found in tropical and sub-tropical lakes, with a naturally high pH.

Performance Benefits

The protein content of Spirulina Powder (Organic) makes it a good choice for muscle growth and repair. The essential amino acid content, in particular, makes Spirulina Powder a great choice for recovery from exercise – this is likely to be of particular interest to Vegetarians and Vegans who often struggle with a sufficient amino acid intake.

Health Benefits

Spirulina Powder (Organic) is considered to have a number of health benefits. The rich source of Vitamins & Minerals is ideal for overall well-being. The antioxidant and chlorophyll content has detoxifying properties, which are of particular benefit for those undertaking frequent exercise.

Spirulina may also be beneficial for digestion as it is easy to digest and absorb, due to soft cell walls.

Helps to keep good diet and gives energy
- Perfect vitamin source!

- I'm drinking it for three weeks now. I take 1 teaspoon mixed with water or juice 30min before food 3 times a day.

- Really helps. I don't want sweets. I don't want to eat as much, just healthy portion. and healthy food like vegetables and meat. I feel energy full! :)

- Tastes bad with water, but mixed with juice is good.
