Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarate increases tissue levels of glutamine and arginine, both of which are known to increase growth hormone levels and regulate protein synthesis. Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarate works by encouraging the secretion of insulin and growth hormone. This results in increased levels of IGF-1 and growth hormone levels within the user. As a result Ornithine Alpha-Ketoglutarate an excellent supplement for athletes looking to increase muscle mass, growth hormone levels and strength.

Supplementing with Ornithine-Alpha ketoglutarate also decreases muscle catabolism (breakdown) and promotes healing of wounds.
