Serving Size & Timing
We recommend consuming approximately 30g of BP Basics Whey Protein Concentrate 82% per serving. Use between 1-5 servings daily depending on your protein requirements. For muscle growth you should look to consume 3g of protein per kg of bodyweight. So if you weigh 80kg then you need approximately 240g of protein per day for optimal muscle growth. For the health and recovery benefits of protein, or if you are female, you should aim to consume 1.5g-2g of protein per kg of bodyweight. So if you weigh 80kg you will need 120g-160g of protein per day.
As BP Basics Whey Protein Concentrate 82% is very quick to absorb, the optimal times to use it are immediately upon waking (preferrably with water/juice) and immediately after exercise (preferrably with water/juice). After exercise many athletes take a double serving (60g) as the body is able to process a larger amount of protein in its depleted state. Other common times to supplement with whey protein are about 30-45 minutes prior to exercise, in between meals to keep the body anabolic, and prior to bed. Mixing whey protein with milk helps to slow down its absorption, before sleep this has obvious benefits over mixing it with water.

After exercise it is common to combine BP Basics Whey Protein Concentrate 82% with a fast-acting carbohydrate such as , Dextrose or Maltodextrin. These carbohydrates create an 'insulin spike' which ensures that the protein is transported to the muscle cells in record speed.
