What is L-Taurine?

L-Taurine is the second most abundant amino acid in muscle tissue, after L-Glutamine. It does not actually form muscle tissue, it is simply found within it.

To this extent taurine is also a very effective cell-volumizer. It ‘Super-Hydrates’ the muscle cells which can trigger increased protein synthesis and reduced protein breakdown; both of which can increase muscle mass and strength.

Directions
Serving Size

For athletes we would recommend taking 1-2g, 1-3 times daily. If you are simply looking for the health benefits associated with Taurine then we would recommend a similar dosage.

Timing

Taurine can be consumed throughout the day. However the optimal times are immediately before and after exercise. Amino Acids can compete for absorption so we would suggest taking Taurine on its own and preferably on an empty stomach.
