What is Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate?

Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate is an amino acid that is formed when two arginine molecules attach to one alpha-ketoglutarate molecule. Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate is said to be far more effective than plain arginine as it is able to increase NO (Nitric Oxide) levels over an extended period of time, as opposed to only a temporary increase.

Where to find Arginine Alpha Ketoglutarate:

Arginine is produced naturally in the body, mainly by the kidney and liver. Red meat is particularly high in arginine, but it is also found in dairy products, fish, chicken, pork and nuts. Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate, however, is not produced naturally; it must be supplemented.

Serving Size

Timing

On workout days BP Basics Arginine Alpha-Ketoglutarate is ideally consumed 30 minutes prior to exercise on an empty stomach. On non-workout days take between 1-3 servings on an empty stomach to increase absorption.
