Update to review - Terriffic product at a great price. Review by hkgrandma
After 30% discount the price of 5 kilos plus postage came to the same as 2.5k from MP!

This is the cheapest powder form I have found anywhere on the web and by far the cheapest way to get it to me in Hong Kong. (Posted on 17/05/2017)
Terrific product at a great price. Review by hkgrandma
I bought this when I was in the UK to increase my protein intake on my weight loss diet.

I mix 2 tablespoons in home made yoghurt to add to my porridge instead of milk. It mixes pretty well and the taste and the few small lumps are not noticeable. If I use the scoop provided the I do notice the taste and also a somewhat chalky texture. I made the mistake at first of cooking it with the oats and ended up with solid very chewy porridge.

I also mix 1 tablespoon in plain yoghurt for a snack with a little sweetener ( stevia or saccharine) and 5-6 liquiflav drops - the raspberry is really great tasting .

BUT - postage to Hong Kong starts at £20 at Bulk Powders and MP delivers orders over £30 for free, so unless my relatives are coming this way I'll be forced to switch. :( (Posted on 05/05/2017)
Good nutrition awful taste and texture Review by Gilly
Basically does what it says on the tin. Do not try and be adventurous and add it to coffee like I did. When in contact with heated water it basically becomes scrambled egg. I may add it to overnight oats to see if that's any better.
Failing that chug it as quickly as possible in ice cold water. (Posted on 04/02/2017)
Egg white protein Review by Michael E
Excellent quality and exactly as decried but my God it has to be the worst thing I ever tasted, I had a Slovakian aged sheep cheese burger before but it's nothing compared to this stuff. On the 3rd time it came back up into my mouth I managed to swallow it (Posted on 19/05/2016)
    noticable results Review by 555
I'm using cocoa powder to help with the taste of this protein but if you are training appropriately, have a good diet, you will find results that are hard to match with ANY other protein!~ (Posted on 03/05/2016)
EGG WHITE PROTEIN POWDER Review by PC
I bought four bags of the egg white protein as the price is pretty amazing. However the putrid smell and taste was not to my liking and made me barf. I will look to mix it with milk and add a banana to see if that improves the taste (Posted on 06/01/2016)
Better than MyP*****n Egg White Powder Review by Snap City
Taste is much better than same product form MP. Not nearly as strong, don't know why. Mixes very well in slightly warm water.

Goes great with Vitargo which seems to neutralises the taste of egg white powder. (Posted on 17/06/2015)
Best Protein Ever Review by Ben
Eggs have the best Amino Acid profile. The taste is fine, slightly salty, but basically as you would expect egg white to taste.
Blends up absolutely perfectly with a banana and some milk to make the best protein shake i have ever consumed.
I also have IBS and can use NO OTHER protein powders at all. I have tried all forms of why, soy, pea, hemp and even beef. All of them gave me a bad stomach. But not this! (Posted on 21/04/2015)
Quick, Convenient, and pretty awesome Review by Nick C
Admittedly they have a slightly cardboard-y smell compared to liquid egg whites but the taste isn't that bad at all.

I eat these rather than drink them. Whisk with 200ml water, 100ml milk, 2 whole eggs. Then cook in a non-stick pan (with spray oil if you like). Keep the heat low and its a really light but protein packed omelette! Adding a little spring onion or powdered veg stock makes them even more amazing!

Great in my opinion. (Posted on 08/03/2015)
    Great alternative Review by Luke
This is my go to protein powder. Taste isn't great but mixed with a couple scoops of milkshake powder and it's fine (not sure why there isn't a flavoured option yet). If you want an alternative to whey this is your answer. Great price too. (Posted on 26/01/2015)
Plenty of Protein Review by Ziggi
I have used whey protein for a number of years but wanted a non-dairy/non-whey option as well. I opted for egg white powder and am very happy with the choice. This product does froth up a lot and it has taken a few experiments to make a satisfying drink.

My technique to reduce the froth is to mix either orange juice or apple juice with a thick smoothie such as a banana or mango and shake. A frothy head still occurs but its nothing like the crazy bubbles you get in plain water. Its enjoyable to drink and tastes really good.

This is an excellent protein powder and definitely feel some extra zing after drinking. (Posted on 30/09/2014)
Added half scoop to my 3 egg omelette Review by Ap14
I added half a scoop into my 3 eggs whisked away and poured into the frying pan. it didn't mix well and upon pouring it in the pan, it appeared rather lumpy. however, it cooked as normal and gave the omelette a rather chewy texture. it made no difference to the taste and topped with peanut butter makes a great snack! Taste is OK Review by xsz
Reading the reviews here I expected the taste to be worse. I don't have any problems with it, tastes a little like yeast... (Posted on 30/07/2014)
Good for omelettes Review by HN
I add 1 whole egg to a scoop of powder with water and put it in my blender to get rid of the lumps, pour into a pan and add veggies, garlic and spices. The 'bitter taste' must be masked (it doesnt taste at all bitter like this) at very little caloric cost. Have not tried this to drink so can't comment on that but will def buy this again once I've run out. (Posted on 30/07/2014)
Cheap and cheerful but bitter Review by Frank
Great price and good mixability but the taste is terribly bitter. They should be upfront about this.

Note from BULK POWDERS: Thanks for your review, Frank. We do give this a 3.5 on taste and certainly don't claim it's the best tasting product, as we know it's not! That said, believe it or not, there is a lot worse. We will review the taste score internally again (although taste is completely subjective) and see if it needs to be revised down further!

In general, Egg White Protein is best combined with other sources of protein such as Whey & Milk as opposed to consumed on its own. (Posted on 18/06/2014)
    Egg Powder Review by Rui
It mixes well if you use a shaker!

However, in my case, i have to take it with moderation because it gives really bad smell gas. (Posted on 10/02/2014)
Get a great workout whilst mixing this! Review by Mitch
After finally realising that I was intolerant to something in dairy and therefore whey protein, I started a search for a replacement.

I tried this egg protein powder in a shaker (400ml liquid) without one of the agitator wire balls and I was left with lumps.....loads of lumps! The next time, I tried using an agitator ball and after getting some good cardio shaking the living hell out of it, I found that the powder mixed totally with no lumps - result!

As for taste - to me, the drink certainly didn't taste bad but I chose to add some strawberry flavouring and I was very happy with the drink. Will definitely be buying again. (Posted on 11/11/2013)
Egg white powder Review by Graham
Fantastic stuff. Does the job for me. As for the taste, try one scoop with 2 teaspoons of chocolate nesquick, gradually mix with semi skimmed milk, and pour over breakfast cereal. (Posted on 25/08/2013)
    Good Review by Ben
I mix this in with some instant oats and banana, strawberry or chocolate nesquick and it tastes awesome! (Posted on 15/06/2013)
    Good Product Review by Steve
To avoid frothiness in a blender add some ice before you mix , for extra flavour I use bananas, cocoa powder, raw honey (although pricey very nice!). I prefer egg white powder to normal protein powders, as protein powders have all the additives and presevatives in. Egg white powder has very little fat also. BULK POWDERS is the cheapest place I have seen it so far. (Posted on 09/05/2013)
Excellent mixability for egg protein Review by Tasos
My first order on Bulk Powders. This is the best egg protein I have found on the web until now. I used to buy egg protein for its high biological value but I face up to serious mixability problems, plus the hot price. This formula has the best mixability for egg protein that I have found until now. I don't care about the taste (as every bodybuilder) and I always mix it with milk, bananas and oats. Fast delivery to Greece and believe me, these guys are Professionals. All my questions were answered in a few minutes. British Precision! Unbelievable prices!!! I'll come back! (Posted on 18/02/2013)
    MIXITUPABIT Review by HARRY
I have always just added a scoop of this to my nightly protein shake a couple of hours before bed , tastes great as it adds a bit of creamy flavour to my choc high protein shake, absolutely no taste issues this way . (Posted on 14/01/2013)
Bitter...but there is an upside Review by michael
I have now tried three different brands of egg white powder. The first was exceptionally cheap...but gave me the squits. The second tasted great..but gave me paint stripping gas problems. Finally I bought the 5kg bag from here. The best value I could find. It tastes really really bitter, where the last one tasted like custard. I add a tsp of sugar and a tsp of cocoa powder and find if i leave it for an hour it's less unpleasant. BUT it hasnt given me any of the other side effects i experienced, so i will deffo be buying more! I was using soya based powder before (i'm milk intolerant) but this has made my training go stratospheric. (Posted on 10/01/2013)
Egg White Powder Review by Eggman
I'm lactose intolerant which makes it quite hard to find non dairy protein shakes, I've tried the soya route but wasn't getting results and I'm not keen on too much soya in my diet.

I mix it in a shaker bottle with half water and half lactofree milk, I also add nesquick milkshake powder which has no lactose in it and it tastes great, I'm not bothered about the extra calories of the milkshake powder I add and to be honest I prefer that to the aspartame based sweeteners in other shakes.

One piece of advice would be too wash the shaker bottle (especially the mesh part) with cold water first after use and then hot water as the heat makes the egg white set which is a pain to clean!

I agree with the other comment that I would happily pay the extra for free range egg powder, or even organic. (Posted on 01/01/2013)
Too bad for the taste Review by Dani
As Egg White Protein Powder is considered the best option for supplementation in between meals, I decided I'd give it a try.
Great stuff. I usually mix it with milk and oats or quinoa, and it does the job really well. It's just enough to make me hold for 2 hours until the next meal. However, I really have a hard time finishing the shake because of the strong taste of the Egg White Powder. It's a very chemical salty taste.

But overall, a very good product! Will buy again. (Posted on 01/01/2013)
Egg white powder Review by Anastasio Luis
This is pure egg white powder and should not be expected to taste nice. I couldn't handle the taste in the beginning, however on refusing to let the money go to waste, I found that blending one scoop of this with one banana, one apple and one mug of milk makes a world of difference. Try it out, i'm sure you won't be disappointed. (please note; a blender is needed). Thanks (Posted on 02/10/2012)
    Review Review by MattO
This powder doesn't mix too well (becomes extremely frothy after a few shakes with water), so I usually leave it to stand for a few minutes after shaking, and the froth recedes a little. It takes "OK" - not exactly nice but not horrible either.

I assume it's not made from free range eggs?

I would pay extra if there was a free range version. (Posted on 19/09/2012)

Can be very difficult to mix on it's own. Best dry-mixed with flavoured whey to reduce clumping. Adds a nice creaminess to the finished shake. (Posted on 11/04/2012)

This is the only protein powder I can use as have a problem with dairy products, but mixed with OATLY milk, it is perfectly palatable. Rather this than all those other powders which are full of additives and preservatives etc.... Thoroughly recommend! (Posted on 11/04/2012)

Excellent protein, easy to mix, tastes a bit rank on it own, but mix it with some milk or whey, and you can't taste it. I wouldn't try mixing it with water in a shaker, as it just turns to froth. (Posted on 11/04/2012)
