Warehouse Inventory / Stock Controller

Supporting the Warehouse Manager, the Inventory Controller will have full responsibility for stock which will include accurate recording, stock movements, adjustments and carrying out investigations when necessary. It will be your responsibility to implement and enforce strict controls and procedures to ensure stock accuracy at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • High level analysis of stock and sales data to develop warehouse solutions for replenishment
  • Maintenance and support of WMS (Warehouse Management System): Accellos One
  • Developing optimum layout of warehouse to maximise picking productivity and storage density
  • Perpetual inventory counting and reconciliation of stock on cyclical basis
  • Ensuring that stock is accurately located by batch numbers and use by dates
  • Monitoring stock levels and planning space for peak periods
  • Develop and maintain Excel tools to forecast material flows and activity
  • Periodically reviewing slow moving/ obsolete stock and taking necessary actions
  • Planning daily flow of deliveries and ensuring necessary resources available
  • Liaising with Production on a daily basis on capacity vs. demand
  • Managing daily KPI reporting for activity and throughputs

Candidate Specification

  • Advanced Excel skill level and experience with commercial use
  • Graduates looking to develop a career in logistics are encouraged to apply

  • Able to work accurately and efficiently with a strong quality focus
  • A good verbal and written communicator
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills with proven experience in copywriting
  • Sage and WMS experience is an advantage

ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT PART TIME

Reporting to the Accountant, your role will include the following:

  • Assisting the Head of Finance and Accountant in processing transactions and dealing with day to day queries
  • Reconciling bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Processing purchase invoices in a timely manner ensuring authorisation processes are adhered to
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Ownership of the purchase ledger
  • Managing purchase orders by monitoring unreceived purchase orders and investigating and resolving those with queries 
  • Ensuring all invoices for the month are received and posted in time for monthly management accounts
  • Assisting the finance department in completion of monthly management accounts tasks, including identifying prepayments and accruals
